The innovation & incubation team has finished incubating a product aimed to help merchants reduce e-commerce consumer drop-offs and is looking to hire an all-star team that can scale the business under the innovation organization. Responsibilities:
- Make sure all squad team members understand the project’s goals and scope
- Tight collaboration between Product and Scrum leads on the squads
- Cross squad collaboration and knowledge transfer
- Focused on ensuring squads operate as autonomous full-stack teams
- Drive the development of a loosely coupled microservice architecture
- Work with the Head of Engineering on setting KPIs and managing alignment with them
- Continuous improvement in our CI/CD capabilities
- Focus on ensuring consistency in the quality of our platform releases
- A champion of team and organization culture
- Ensure overall quality of deliverables: test coverage, code reviews, etc.
- Coach and mentor autonomous full stack development squads
- Passionate when it comes to removing blockers to drive forward progress
- Constant focus on process improvement
- Keep the project stakeholders up to date on squad progress and overall team dynamics
- Understanding key metrics and analysis to identify areas of improvement for teams – data backed decision making
- Ability to delegate projects to qualified subordinates as appropriate
- Ability to lead, direct and manage effectively
- Ability to operate independently
- Ability to exhibit solid decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Working with the team to break up work into the smallest deliverables
Qualifications:
- Prior 5+ years of hands-on engineering experience, with at least 2 years of engineering management experience
- An empathetic leader with a passion for operational efficiency
- Prior experience working on the design, implementation, and delivery of high transaction volume with low latency enterprise solutions
- Strong communication skills – mediation and negotiation skills
Bonus Qualifications:
- Prior working experience in start-up environment or corporate innovation team
