Department Summary
Business Analyst – OneStream
Our client is looking for a Business Analyst whose primary focus will be the administration of the OneStream Platform. The individual will support our business, provide on-going support, and develop enhancements for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. You will interact with our team of finance/FP&A, accounting, IT, and users throughout the organization to manage and grow the OneStream Platform.
This position requires knowledge of multidimensional databases, financial business processes, application and system design, training, and ongoing support to our users.I-PC4
Job Duties and Responsibilities
What You Will Be Doing
- Create, Build, and Deliver Quarterly, Monthly, and Weekly reports to the Executive Team
- Administration including updating calculations and formulas within the system
- Build or Modify CubeViews and Dashboards
- Maintain Financial Model
- Conduct “deep dive” analysis of data when anomalies are identified
- Train new users on how to use OneStream and trouble-shoot user errors
- Identify process improvements throughout the company
- Ensure flexibility and scalability of processes and applications supporting the business segments
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Minimum required skills / experience:
- Required education to be a 4 year bachelor degree in Computer science, data science, business administration, economics, finance or related field with preference of master degree in computer science, data science, finance or accounting processes and decisions
- Ability to understand, analyze and articulate common business
- Outstanding Microsoft Office/Google Suite skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical staff from any level of management
- Experience with collecting, cleaning and the managing of data to meet the company’s needs
- Experience working with and creating data architectures
- Organized with strong reasoning skills
- Self-motivated, self-starter, independent thinker with sound decision-making skills
- Ability to reason, respond, and recover in high stress situations
- Ability to multitask and prioritize across a variety of projects
- Ability to work cross-functionally
Desired skills / experience:
- Experience working within a finance organization using strong functional knowledge around financial systems and processes (budgeting, consolidation, forecasting, reporting, financial statements, analytics to achieve results)
- Strong problem solving and trouble-shooting skills
- A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques
- Experience administrating multidimensional databases and configuration tools is desirable
- Experience with VB.Net programming language
- Ability to develop processes and tools to monitor and analyze model performance and data accuracy
- Prior experience with any of the following products:
- Hyperion Planning / Essbase / Oracle
- Hyperion Financial Management (HFM)
- OneStream XF
