Group Product Manager, Viewing Innovation

Location: Denver, CO

Job Type: Direct Hire (FTE)

Salary: $130-150k

We are looking for a Group Product Manager to join the Product Management team to drive the strategy and delivery of innovative new video viewing experiences. Through digital and streaming, The comapny has the opportunity to create a more lean forward, interactive video viewing experience for customers compared to the lean back viewing experience of traditional linear TV. This includes the Company Watch Party, which launched in September 2020, offering the only live TV co-viewing experience in the market and combines both video and audio chat. Watch Party and other interactive video viewing enhancements the Group Product Manager will spearhead, such as the integration of sports wagering, will drive increased viewership, engagement, and reduce subscriber churn. You will possess deep knowledge of our customers, have eye for the holistic user experience, and understand the various constraints of the business in order to deliver solutions that customers love and work for the business.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Product Design and Engineering to create a more “lean-forward,” interactive video viewing experience for customers compared to the “lean-back” viewing experience of traditional linear TV
  • Own the strategy, execution, and excellence of your area – be scrappy, solve problems, and take an entrepreneurial approach to deliver against business outcomes and create a delightful viewer experience
  • Provide leadership to your cross-functional product teams, consistently articulating product strategy, sharing learnings both good and bad, making difficult decisions and being accountable for them, prioritizing ruthlessly, representing the team throughout organization, and nurturing strong collaborative relationships within the team
  • Recruit, lead, and develop a small team of strong and capable product managers
  • Become the acknowledged expert in the organization on our viewers – who they are, how they think and their needs
  • Evaluate external technology partners and solutions to accelerate time to market for new viewing innovations
  • Assess competing or similar products in the fast-changing media, television, and digital video landscape
  • Conduct user tests, research, and experiments to capture and understand real users’ motivations, goals, and pain points
  • Define, monitor, and analyze product metrics, and feed learnings back into the product development process
  • Evangelize modern product management best practices and culture and continuously identify opportunities to improve our product development processes

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of product management experience with history of shipping high scale consumer digital products, ideally mobile or video products
  • Passion for collaborating, iterating, and testing with Product Design and Engineering to discover solutions that exceed user expectations and drive business results
  • Obsession with customers and experience personally conducting user research, testing, and optimization
  • High comfort level in analytics and generating customer insights from data trends
  • Can think strategically but is able to roll up your sleeves, get stuff done, and sweat the details
  • Can communicate clearly and effectively – on paper, in person, over email/chat – across all functions and levels of the org as well as externally with partners
  • Ability to lead and inspire teams to deliver on our goals
  • Prior success directly managing a small team or coaching other junior product managers Passionate about the digital video, streaming, and TV industries
