The disruptive SaaS platform being developed creates a new data driven approach to how the client operates with existing third parties and drives enterprise value across an entire portfolio of multi-family real-estate properties. Integrating other systems and finding opportunities to leverage them in new ways which change how people live, work, and explore is what should bring you joy and excitement. You will think through solutions creatively and with purpose, working in a remote environment.
Representative Responsibilities:
- Help to define and build a unified technical vision for our technologies, ensuring that we choose the best tools for the job and know how to tie them all together in a highly scalable and flexible way
- Work with product managers and engineering leads to understand user needs and design a testing infrastructure that supports the successful delivery those needs
- Design and perform multiple types of black-box, white-box, and grey-box testing including functional, system, end to end, load testing, performance testing, data integrity, smoke, regression, and ad hoc testing
- Communicate effectively and efficiently with DevOps and Software Engineers
Skills and Experience:
- 4-6 years of experience testing full-stack software development in an agile environment, with steady, demonstrable growth in impact and responsibility
- Proven experience as a hands-on problem-solver and troubleshooter with a passion for finding hinderances to our goal of providing scalable solutions to suit specific user needs
- You are familiar with Go, NodeJS, React, and Postgres, and have tested full-stack environments built on a combination of these technologies
- Functional testing – ensure interface functionality lines up with business requirements
- Compatibility testing – ensure the experience of our internal and external interfaces is successful and consistence across different browsers, devices, and viewports
- Regression testing – help ensure we’re moving forward in our development efforts and not circling back to old bugs
- You want to help own the testing strategy for their software and develop documented test plans
- You work with DevOps and developers to determine what test cases must pass in the CI/CD process with Circle CI before going to the cloud
- You’re involved every step of the way – from running and testing code on your local machine to testing deploys in the cloud, approving/disapproving releases for production
- You have humility, a desire to make others better, and the ability to exhibit grace and humor under pressure will also go a long way toward making you successful on this small, cross-functional team
- Industry experience in multifamily residential housing, home sharing/short-term rentals, or property technology is a plus
