Senior Database Administrator II On-Site
Terms:
(1) 6 months contract-to-hire
(2) Rate: Up to $85/hr absolute max
(3) Conversion salary: $100,000 – $180,000/yr DOE $180k is for the absolute best candidate exceeding requirements
(4) U.S. Citizens & GC Only
(5) BS Degree or Bachelor’s Degree not required with minimum yrs. of experience + 8 additional years in the field.
(6) Minimum 15+ years experience required
(7) End Client: Warrenton, VA ON-SITE
(8) Public Trust Clearance
Experience Required:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or 8 years of equivalent work experience
- 15+ years of database administration experience
- Experience using SQL Query Tools, Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc.
Description
The team consists of 50+ staff maintaining systems utilized in the day to day operations to ensure public safety. This position is fully on-site in Warrenton, VA.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as SME on Oracle databases to support
- All production database environments as a primary or backup DBA
- Application/Database related problems and deployments
- Response to customer/stakeholder inquiries
- Provide data requests as needed using SQL Query Tools like Sql*Developer and PGAdmin
Maintaining production databases, which includes:
- Databases including Oracle and PostgreSQL
- Monitoring database efficiency
- Ensuring space availability
- Backup and Recovery
- Database builds and refreshes
- Data updates
- Sustaining the security and integrity of data
- Supporting application deployments
- Supporting on-call rotation
- Documentation
Additional Requirements:
- In order to meet the clearance requirements for this opportunity, candidates must be a US Citizen or Green Card Holder to work in the United States
- Ability to pass a US Public Trust background investigation for access to the client site and computing systems. You must have lived in the US for the past three (3) years
