Senior Product Manager, DVR
Location: Denver, CO
Job Type: Direct Hire (FTE)
Salary: $120-150k
We are looking for a Sr Product Manager to join the Product Management team to own the cloud DVR service and experience on company apps across web, mobile, and living room devices. DVR recording functionality and storage is a critical customer need and expectation for traditional cable customers who are thinking about cutting the cord for a streaming TV service. In this role, you will collaborate closely with back-end technology teams to continuously improve the performance and reliability of our DVR service, as well as partner with product designers and engineers to deliver the best DVR offering and user experience in the market in order to grow DVR usage and revenues. You will possess deep knowledge of our customers, have eye for the holistic user experience, and understand the various constraints of the business in order to deliver solutions that customers love and work for the business.
Responsibilities
Own the execution and excellence of DVR products – be scrappy, solve problems, and take an entrepreneurial approach to deliver against business outcomes and create a delightful viewer experience
Provide leadership to your cross-functional product team, consistently articulating product strategy, sharing learnings both good and bad, making difficult decisions and being accountable for them, prioritizing ruthlessly, representing the team throughout organization, and nurturing strong collaborative relationships within the team
Become an acknowledged expert in the organization about the goals, features and roadmap of our cloud DVR offering
Proactively seek and propose new opportunities to increase DVR usage, paid take rates, and revenues
Be relentless in identifying current customer issues with DVR and driving teams across company organization to resolve them
Conduct user tests, research, and experiments to capture and understand real users’ motivations, goals, and pain points
Assess competing or similar products in the fast-changing media, television, and digital video landscape
Define, monitor, and analyze product and feature adoption metrics and feed learnings back into the product development process
Evangelize modern product management best practices and culture and continuously identify opportunities to improve our product development processes
Requirements
4+ years of product management experience with history of shipping high scale consumer digital products, ideally mobile or video products
Keen interest in the digital video, streaming, and TV industries
Passion for collaborating, iterating, and testing with Product Design and Engineering to discover solutions that exceed user expectations and drive business results
Obsession with customers and experience personally conducting user research, testing, and optimization
High comfort level in analytics and generating customer insights from data trends
Can think strategically but is able to roll up your sleeves, get stuff done, and sweat the details
Can communicate clearly and effectively – on paper, in person, over email/chat – across all functions and levels of the org as well as externally with partners
Ability to lead and inspire teams to deliver on our goals
