Staff Program Manager, IT Wireless
Location: On-site: Littleton, Colorado 80120 (LOCAL Colorado candidates only)
Visa: Any, as long as they can convert to full-time after 90 days
Salary: 125k (flexible)
Pay rate: 60-70hr
Overall Role:
A Principal Program Manager for IT Wireless Technology is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of large cross functional and strategic IT Wireless Technology programs.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning and implementation of multi-faceted, complex, and large cross functional and strategic IT Wireless Technology projects
- Manage and provide overall oversight to multiple projects that may be assigned to multiple Program Managers
- Mentor, lead, and provide direction and support to Wireless program team and coordinate with IT Wireless Program Managers
- Provide direct and dotted line supervision to Program Managers assigned to large and/or strategic programs
- Facilitate cross program scope, goals and deliverables planning and execution
- Develop and manage cross program delivery plans working with various IT and Business teams
- Present and negotiate scope and schedule with customers, executive management, and IT teams
- Plan and schedule program timelines and necessary weekly/daily or ad hoc meetings
- Identify, document, mitigate, resolve risks issues as things change and evolve.
- Analyze dependencies, risks, and mitigation plans across multiple programs
- Constantly monitor and report on progress of the overall program to all stakeholders
- Implement and manage program changes and interventions to achieve program outputs
- Provide program evaluations and assessment of results throughout and post project deployment
Experience:
- 12+ years of Program Management experience – preferably in IT software delivery, wireless, or telecommunication industries
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required to provide clear and concise communications to executive leadership and cross program
- Expert level knowledge and practice of both theoretical and practical aspects of program management principles, processes, and tools
- Extensive working experience of IT systems, Agile, and SDLC practices
- Proven and recent experience in people management, strategic planning, risk management, and change management
- Demonstrated experience in preparing and delivering executive level presentations
- Strong negotiation and facilitation skills with an ability to gain consensus
- Ability to consult, facilitate and manage expectations with leadership, IT teams and with customers
- Ability to understand technical requirements and translate into business value
- Ability to facilitate solutions in a complex IT technology and business environment and able to adapt quickly to change
- Ability to manage customer expectations throughout the program implementation and delivery process
- Ability to work on teams in a lead and participative capacity with many different and diverse stakeholders
Desired Knowledge Areas:
- PMP certification and/or Advanced degree beneficial
- IT wireless Systems or IT Telecommunication Solutions
- Platforms and Integrations between BSS, OSS, and Network
- Enterprise software releases
